Jesus was asked by a disciple who sinned, the man who was born blind or the parents of the man. Neither one’s sin caused the man to be blind. Sometimes things happen in our lives that seem as if nothing good could come from it.
This man lived a life like that, he was a poor blind beggar without much hope. However, his life had a great purpose because from the moment he met Jesus his entire life was used as an example of what God can do.
So much about this man had changed that everyone except his parents were unsure if he was even the same man. When our lives are changed by Jesus our lives should change so much that people don’t believe we are even the same person.
When the Pharisees found out that Jesus went around healing people they became angry and wanted to see Jesus punished because they didn’t believe that he was the Son of God.
*As we approach Easter it’s important for the kids to understand that not everyone was okay with Jesus performing miracles and saying that he was the Son of God.
John 9 Jesus heals the blind man
We have blind folds in the youth supply room that children can put on. You can have a select view as the blind children and others as the seeing children. The seeing children can take turns giving the blind children directions to follow (please keep it safe).
